{"id":817,"date":"2015-03-05T15:02:57","date_gmt":"2015-03-05T15:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cityfalcon.com\/blog\/?p=817"},"modified":"2017-10-05T12:10:23","modified_gmt":"2017-10-05T12:10:23","slug":"why-we-would-love-to-but-may-not-hire-many-full-time-people-in-the-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cityfalcon.ai\/blog\/it\/the-startup-journey\/why-we-would-love-to-but-may-not-hire-many-full-time-people-in-the-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Perch\u00e9 ci piacerebbe ma NON potremmo assumere molte persone a tempo pieno nel Regno Unito"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sia chiaro: lo scopo di questo post non \u00e8 criticare nessuno, ma essere onesto e trasparente e dare qualche spunto di riflessione alle parti interessate.<\/p>\n<p>Sono fortunato ad avere delle persone fantastiche che lavorano con me nel Regno Unito, ma la maggior parte del nostro team si trova al di fuori della Gran Bretagna.<\/p>\n<p>Sono venuto nel Regno Unito per studiare, mi sono innamorato del posto e delle persone e ora sono cittadino britannico. Ci sono stati momenti in cui sono stato frustrato dalla burocrazia e dal trattamento a cui sono stato esposto durante il viaggio verso la mia cittadinanza, anche se ho speso pi\u00f9 di 40.000 sterline per l&#039;istruzione nel Regno Unito, avevo pagato decine di migliaia di tasse e spero di aver dato un contributo positivo alla nazione attraverso il mio lavoro. Ma nonostante questi cavilli, a parte Mumbai dove sono nata e cresciuta, non c&#039;\u00e8 citt\u00e0 al mondo in cui vivrei se non Londra, almeno per ora.<\/p>\n<p>Il governo del Regno Unito, l&#039;HMRC e le grandi imprese hanno tutti assistito le start-up attraverso regimi fiscali, sovvenzioni, tutoraggio, ecc., e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di beneficiare di alcune di queste fonti. Naturalmente desideriamo ricambiare il favore pagando la nostra giusta quota di tasse, assumendo persone nel Regno Unito, sostenendo altri imprenditori e imprese e aiutando Londra a mantenere il titolo di capitale mondiale FinTech. Ma come start-up, dobbiamo essere snelli, agili, efficienti e, soprattutto, dobbiamo SOPRAVVIVERE! Abbiamo raccolto fondi iniziali e potremo durare solo pochi mesi, quindi dobbiamo sfruttare al meglio i nostri soldi e il nostro tempo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burocrazia: assumere, gestire, licenziare<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assumere una persona nel Regno Unito richiede di creare un contratto e di gestire l&#039;elaborazione delle buste paga e i pagamenti dalla tua banca. Non puoi licenziare facilmente un dipendente le cui prestazioni non sono all&#039;altezza: devi seguire un lungo processo e potresti esporti a contenzioso.<\/p>\n<p>D&#039;altra parte, assumere tramite eLance \u00e8 semplice: trova la persona, utilizza contratti standard, approva le schede attivit\u00e0 e il pagamento viene addebitato su PayPal. Semplice!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mancanza di talento tecnologico adeguato nel Regno Unito<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se sei un appaltatore nel Regno Unito, amerai la situazione attuale: non abbastanza talenti di qualit\u00e0 che entrano nel paese; di conseguenza le tue tariffe giornaliere aumentano. D&#039;altra parte, come azienda possono esserci problemi a trovare persone con le competenze di cui hai bisogno e, anche se lo fai, non te le puoi permettere. \u00c8 relativamente facile per le grandi aziende recuperare talenti di qualit\u00e0 offrendo vantaggi finanziari senza pari.<\/p>\n<p>L&#039;altro problema di cui la maggior parte delle persone non \u00e8 a conoscenza \u00e8 che la mancanza di talento significa che i giovani laureati potrebbero non ottenere il tutoraggio necessario per migliorare le proprie capacit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costi del personale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quando assumi una persona nel Regno Unito, non la assumi per un anno, la assumi per 11 mesi a causa del diritto minimo alle ferie annuali. Non sono contrario a questa idea, ma come start-up \u00e8 insostenibile.<\/p>\n<p>Man mano che gli strumenti di comunicazione e collaborazione online migliorano, man mano che le persone si abituano a lavorare in diversi fusi orari e mentre la lingua inglese diventa pi\u00f9 dominante in alcuni mercati emergenti non inglesi, il costo dell&#039;arbitraggio \u00e8 troppo alto per essere ignorato per le start-up.<\/p>\n<p>Possiamo assumere uno sviluppatore senior rockstar in Ucraina, India o Vietnam e pagare molto meno di quanto dovremmo sborsare per uno sviluppatore junior inesperto nel Regno Unito!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impegno e attitudine al lavoro<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Non voglio generalizzare, e quanto segue non \u00e8 assolutamente un riflesso di coloro che lavorano con me nel Regno Unito. Infatti, le persone che lavorano con noi nel Regno Unito sono state selezionate in base al loro impegno e attitudine esemplari. Ammetto che anch&#039;io potrei essermi reso colpevole di una condotta simile mentre ero in un comodo lavoro aziendale.<\/p>\n<p>Tuttavia, in termini generali, nel Regno Unito abbiamo troppe distrazioni sociali, abbiamo il sostegno della previdenza sociale del governo, il che significa che potremmo non interessarci davvero del successo di un&#039;azienda, lavorare efficacemente solo poche ore al giorno delle otto richieste ore e fare solo quello che ci viene detto di fare. D&#039;altra parte, scopriamo che le persone che assumiamo dalle economie emergenti sono pi\u00f9 proattive, efficienti e lavorano con orari pi\u00f9 efficaci rispetto a quelli nel Regno Unito. Se vuoi una vita comoda, le start-up non fanno per te!<\/p>\n<p><strong>In sintesi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ci piacerebbe lavorare per cambiare questo aspetto e siamo aperti al feedback di altri imprenditori nel Regno Unito.
